How it works
The principle behind this treatment process is one of detecting and altering the frequency information with which cells communicate with each other. In health this form of communication is harmonious. With ill-health this cellular communication is impeded by additional dis-harmonious frequency patterns radiating from bacteria, viruses, toxins etc. This interferes with the body's own regulatory powers and in turn impairs the bodies functions. The Bicom detects and transforms these frequency patterns into therapeutic magnetic waves. The therapeutic patterns are combinations of healthy (harmonious) frequencies, pathogenic (dis-harmonious) frequencies and mirror image (inverted) frequencies. The mirror image frequencies are designed to counteract (cancel out) dis-harmonious frequencies, be healthy frequencies are designed to enhance the bodies good energies and the pathogenic frequencies are designed to aggravate and expose dis-harmonies. The magnitude of these waves can be altered and they can be applied in continual form or as a series of pulses.

The Bicom 2000 also incorporates an Electro Dermal Screening (EDS) device. This measures electrical conductance of acupuncture points and is used to indicate the energetic state of meridians and to give biofeedback to help determine appropriate treatment programmes and modifications to these if required.

The Bicom 2000 can be used in a number of ways ranging from simple basic therapy to advanced applications.

1.     Simple therapeutic treatment. The client's case history is taken and from a look up chart the required preset treatment programmes that matches their complaints are selected. Appropriate electrodes are placed as indicated on the chart and the 'Go' button is pressed. Simple, quick and straightforward.

2.     Intermediate EDS analysis. Here the energetic state of the clients acupuncture meridians are assessed with the EDS (Electro Dermal Screening) probe by applying it to acupuncture points on the ends of the fingers and toes. Nutrition, toxic and food issues can also be assessed in this way. From this energetic information a more precise treatment programme can be determined in conjunction with the look up book.

3.     Advance Modified Bicom treatments. It is possible to mollify treatment programmes in a number of ways. By using EDS feedback a precise, customise frequency treatment programme can be devised for the client and incorporated into 2 above.

What Happens in Treatment Sessions

Before you come for your first appointment you will be sent a detailed questionnaire. This is your opportunity to help the therapist to help you. Here you detail your medical history, what symptoms are troubling you, what was happening at the time they started and any environmental factors at home and work that may be a problem.

In oriental medicine, people are seen as healthy when energy is flowing freely through the body. In the first visit, the therapist tests for major energy blocks and treats these if necessary. He/she will press a test probe onto acupuncture points on your hands, feet and ears to make electrical measurements. You will feel pressure from the probe but not pain as with needles. The computer prints out the measurements to help the therapist to identify blockages. These include radiation stress and scars from surgery and accidents that may restrict energy flow along acupuncture meridians. These are treated in the first visit. For treatment, you lie comfortably on a massage table with a soft electromagnetic mat under your back and head. This mat sends the treatment signals from the machine to your body. Signals are usually picked up from your body with metal hand or foot electrodes (we warm them in winter!) and from tiny amounts of a body fluid such as saliva or urine.

The next step is to test for what are either called 'stressors' or 'strains'. These are substances that are stressing your energetic system. In clinical ecology, illness is not seen as due to a single cause (e.g. a virus) but to the cumulative effect of several 'stressors'. In the first visit, our aim is not to find every stressor but to identify the major ones - those that are having the biggest effect on your system. Often treating these allows the body to handle the minor ones itself.

Testing

Testing is done again using the electronic probe. This time the readings are compared with and without the suspected stressing substance in the circuit. If the reading rises with the substance in the circuit, then it is a stressor.  

Follow-up Sessions

 In the follow-up sessions, several stressors are inverted and programs are used that enhance detoxification. Each allergy typically takes two treatments, infections two to four. A typical course of treatment for a chronic condition would be 8 sessions. Children may require less, serious cases obviously require more visits. The number of treatments can be estimated at the first appointment. An exception is the Quit Smoking Therapy which is usually only one treatment.

The aim of natural medicine is always to get to the root cause of the problem and restore self-healing and regulation back to the body and mind.
This is achieved by firstly clearing obstructions to the capacity for self-repair and secondly restoring balance by supplementing depleted systems and calming hyperactive ones.

Testing also involves:

De-block (making the un-treatable treatable) Such as: Chakara blokage, Bladder meridian blokage, Spine blockage
This is an often overlooked and vital step which can make conditions which have previously not responded to therapy now amenable and responsive to therapy. The Bicom device scans the body in fine detail to search for these blockages. Below are some of the common blockages that can prevent successful treatment if not properly eliminated:

Electrical and Geopathic & RadiationStress
Some people are very sensitive to stress from electric devices and the zones on the earth's surface where the natural magnetic fields are densely packed. When a sensitive person sleeps or works in such an environment the effect is to compromise the immune system and make the person unable to recover from their illness. The Bicom can detect and treat this stress.

Scar and Injury Blockages
Any old scars and injuries can leave the acupuncture and energy channels blocked. The Bicom can scan the body to detect blocked channels, then clear the blockage. The benefits of this when it is needed cannot be overstated.

Heavy Toxic Burden
A common example of a toxic burden would be mercury toxicity from dental amalgam. This can be detected and eliminated with the use of supplements, Bicom and homeopathy.

Undiagnosed Allergies and Sensitivities
In natural medicine we believe that sensitivities and allergies are only the result of an imbalance, and we would normally only treat the cause of the imbalance and not the symptom. Sometimes however the sensitivities and allergies in themselves are so disruptive to the body's systems that it is necessary to reduce the allergies/sensitivities to give a breathing space within which to restore health. One of the latest theories about the cause of these problems is the presence of unhealthy populations of parasites in our bodies. This triggers an allergic intolerance when the parasites 'have a meal'. Deficiency of essential nutrients
